Baradene College of the Sacred Heart
The Conference will be held at the Baradene College of the Sacred Heart in Remuera, Auckland. The college is located at 237 Victoria Avenue, Remuera. The city centre is only a short 10 minute drive from venue, which also means that public transport to and from the conference venue is an option to take advantage of.
About the College
Baradene College of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic Girls School, situated in Remuera, Auckland, New Zealand, teaching girls from Year 7 until Year 13. There are currently 1250 girls on the roll, including approximately 60 international students and a teaching staff of over 75.
Baradene is a school rich in history and tradition. The school was set up in 1909 by the Religious Society of the Sacred Heart. The Society of the Sacred Heart was founded by Mother Madeleine Sophie Barat. The essence of a Sacred Heart education is a deep concern for each person's total development - spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural and physical.
Baradene College was both a boarding and day school until 1985 when the boarding section was finally closed. Baradene College became a State integrated school in 1983.
